Meizu was not active in the wearables segment for a long period of time. The company launched its first watch back in 2016- and after 5 full years, Meizu uncovers its new smartwatch. The Meizu watch is going to be a new generation flagship smartwatch with several upgrades over its predecessor. It comes with the flagship Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset, eSIM support, and an AMOLED display. Let us look at the specs, features, and expected price of the Meizu watch in Nepal to find what the company has to offer.
The display brings a customized AMOLED panel that measures 1.78-inch. It provides 368 x 450 pixels resolution and the PPI density is 326. The display has a peak brightness of up to 500 nits. There is also a 2.5D Gorilla Glass protecting the display. Meizu watch is waterproof as well as swimproof. It features the fourth-generation full-screen that can deliver the best visual effects
It sports a square-shaped display that is built with glass at the front, ceramic at the back, and aluminum at the frame. The device measures 13mm in terms of thickness and weighs 43 grams only- the Meizu watch is lighter than the Huawei Watch 3 Series which also got launched recently. It has a fluorine rubber strap and comes in two appealing colors- black rock and azure.
Here, Qualcomm’s strongest new-generation Snapdragon Wear 4100 is powering the Meizu watch. The 12nm SoC is coupled with Adreno 504 GPU. It comes with 1GBRAM that is combined with 8GB of built-in storage. On the software side, the company has equipped the custom UI “Flyme for Watch”, which is developed based on the Android code.
Meizu Watch offers plenty of features- You can track your blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) level, measure SOS level, heart rate, blood glucose level, stress, and sleep monitoring, etc. These features are all common in smartwatches these days. However, the “SOS emergency call” is something that needs to be mentioned. For this call, you need to press the side button continuously for 5 times, and this will automatically call your emergency contact from your phone.
Like most smartwatches, it also supports 10+ active sports modes including cycling, hiking, running, mountain climbing, table tennis, and so on. Like Huawei Watch 3 series, the Meizu watch also comes with eSIM support. This means you can make or receive calls, send or receive messages, make internet use without your smartphone needed.
Furthermore, you can also listen to music, and perform some operations of the smart car as it comes with an in-built app for it. It is fueled with a 430mAh battery that can deliver power for up to 36 hours. The mCharge for Watch system power up your device from 0 to 35 percent in as less as 15 minutes and 100% in 45 minutes. It comes with NFC for MEIZU Pay, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and Wi-Fi support for connectivity.
Meizu has already launched its flagship watch in China at a price of 1,499 Yuan. Meizu has discontinued its official channel in Nepal so we are not sure if and when the watch will be available in Nepal. In case it does, the expected price of the Meizu Watch is NPR 30,000 in Nepal
