Xiaomi Is Giving Jobs to 5,000 Engineers This Year

Chinese electronics company Xiaomi plans to employ an additional 5,000 engineers by 2021. Xiaomi currently employs more than 10,000 engineers.

In 2021, Xiaomi plans to make every engineer’s dream company. To realize this plan, the company is hiring engineers working in various fields.

Speaking to MI fans, Lei Jun, CEO of the company, said that Xiaomi is adding manpower to work on research and innovation.

He also said that he is continuously increasing investment in the field of research. According to him, the company has spent more than 10 billion, or Rs 1.159 trillion, on research and development (R&D) in 2020.

CEO June said an additional 30 to 40 percent would be spent this year. That means the company will spend between 13 billion and 14 billion on research in 2021.
