Xiaomi turns 11; Mi Fan celebrates its 11th Anniversary
April 7, 2021
Xiaomi has completed its amazing journey of 11 years. In a span of 11 years, Xiaomi successfully raised the bar for global smartphone makers. Its presence and market share expanded worldwide, and it has been able to become a household name for millions of people in a relatively short time span. It has been able to make a firm grip on the mobile industry along with a huge fan base. More importantly, the newcomer disrupted the market and challenged smartphone giants such as Apple, Samsung. Yesterday, Mi Fans in Nepal celebrated Xiaomi’s anniversary program by organizing a short meet and greet program. The event was successfully held at Evoke Cafe, Jhamsikhel.
Evoke turned out to be the perfect venue for celebrating Xiaomi’s birthday. Before even the meetup started, Mi fans were already seated, while the whole atmosphere was alive with chit-chat and laughter. New attendees were welcomed with a ‘Mi Fan Band’ goodie customized with a Xiaomi brand logo and color. After the event started at around 5 PM with a cake-cutting ceremony, everyone joined in with tremendous applause and cheer. The event was rightly planned to be casual and easy-going. There was also a short photo session after the cake-cutting ceremony.
The InfoTechs Team was fortunate enough to be invited to the event and our team was present at the venue to support Mi Fan community. Attendees were busy taking pictures and most importantly a picture-perfect moment of Mi Fan community was created and shared on social media as well. Lunch was also provided to the attendees, which is always a nice gesture. Our team enjoyed the meals served, along with dessert, and drinks and got to network with a lot of like-minded technology enthusiasts. Getting to know new people, share knowledge on the latest tech and products, and expand public outreach are what InfoTechs are passionate about.
The event catered to this perfectly! We, the InfoTechs Team were more than happy to be a part of this event. We are thankful to the Mi Fan community for organizing such a great meetup. Kudos to the team and we look forward to becoming a part of such events in the future! Meanwhile, we also expect more such events from Xiaomi to engage its immense fanbase in Nepal in the coming days. Sadly, ‘Mr. Sourabh Kothari’, Country General Manager couldn’t make it to the event as he had to go to the Grand Opening of MI after Sales and Service Centre in Butwal. Special thanks to ‘Mr. Rajib Khanal’ president of Mi Fan club, ‘Mr. Nitesh Kumar Mundra’ Director at Xiaomi Nepal, and the entire Mi Fan club team for organizing this event and making it a success.
