According to Sudhir Parajuli, president of Internet Service Providers Association of Nepal in Tuesday’s report. The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has doubled the price of optical fiber and the price of the internet is going to increase.
NEA has decided to increase the cost of fiber core connected to 33 KV and below voltage transmission lines from Rs 14,700 per km per year in addition to the fare per fiber core per year.
Similarly, 4/5 percent of the total internet fee is associated with the price of fiber and has decided to charge Rs. Initially, the internet service provider had been paying Rs 16,400.
