Axon 30 Ultra 5G
Display and Design
Like other premium smartphones, the company is offering a huge 6.67 inch screen with a stunning HDR10+ AMOLED display that has a razor-sharp resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The refresh rate of 144 Hz is also higher with an imposing aspect ratio of 20:9. To level up your gaming experience this phone features a touch sampling rate of 300Hz. It supports 100% DCI P3 color gamut and 10-bit color depth- enjoy while watching your favourite films and gaming with an impressive display. It is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Comparing its predecessor, ZTE has made minor changes in terms of design. The camera module is wider than Axon 20. It has got an appealing design with a smooth matte finish at the back that feels close to “Real silk”. The plus point is that the body is scratch-resistant, wear-resistant, anti-glare, and fingerprint-proof. The LED flash is located within the camera module. There is a tiny circular notch centered at the top where it accommodates its selfie shooter. The user gets 4 beautiful color options in ZTE Axon 30 Ultra -Black, White, Blue, Light Brown. For security, it is secured by an under-display fingerprint scanner or a face lock.
Performance and Memory
Moving on to the processor, ZTE Axon 30 Ultra ships with the flagship Snapdragon 888 5G chipset from Qualcomm. The graphics in this device is handled by the Adreno 660 GPU. Their combination places Axon 30 Ultra 5G as a decent gaming device. On the software side, the phone is packed with MyOS 11 which is based on Android 11.
Now talking about the memory, the user gets three RAM variants options- 8GB RAM, 12GB RAM, and 16GB RAM. Both 8 and 12GB RAM variants come with 256GB internal storage while the 16GB RAM variant is coupled with a huge 1TB internal storage. For expanding the phone’s storage capacity the device does support a card slot.
Camera
Speaking of the camera on this phone, Axon 30 Ultra flaunts a quad-camera array at the back where you get three 64MP cameras- a 64MP wide camera, another 64MP standard lens, another 64MP ultrawide lens, and a last 8MP periscope telephoto lens. ZTE is the first to introduce the in-built camera and now is working further to enhance their camera performance with Quad Array Imaging Evolution. With the original triple main 64 megapixel cameras and 60X periscope super zoom lens matrix, you can capture high-quality images.
The ultra-wide angle camera is perfect to shoot exceptional night scenes without any distortion. Similarly, the triple cameras can shoot simultaneously with a multi camera filming function. For capturing selfies and making video calls, ZTE Axon 30 Ultra has a 16MP front shooter available. It also supports a good-quality video recording where it can record 8K at 30fps, 4K video up to 60fps, and 1080p video at 30fps. Similarly, the selfie shooter supports 4K video up to 360fps, and 1080p video at 30fps.
Battery and Extras
Comparing the ZTE Axon 20, it has a slightly upgraded battery of 4600mAh which you can rely on for hours. It comes with a USB Type-C port that supports 66W fast charging which can top up your battery in a few minutes. Sadly, it lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack and FM Radio feature in this device. Other highlights include stereo speakers, UFS 3.1 high-speed memory combination, next-generation 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Quick Charge 4+, etc.
