TCL debuted three new smartphones to add to its existing 20 series. The line-up includes 20L, 20L+ (20S), and 20 Pro. Among these devices, 20L and 20L+ are the mid-ranger phones and 20 Pro is the flagship variant. We have already covered 20L in our earlier post so in this post, we will be covering the specs, features, price, and availability of TCL 20L+ in Nepal.
TCL 20L+ Overview
Display and Design
Just like TCL 20L it also flaunts a 6.67 inches FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The adaptive peak brightness of up to 500 nits helps to adjust the display for effortless clarity both in light or dark. It has an IPS LCD display instead of an AMOLED display and the refresh rate is also limited up to 60Hz which is underwhelming for a device of this price range. The NXTVISION eye care filters harmful blue ray light so that you can see your movies and play games with a better experience without straining your eyes.
It has a premium looking sleek body and comes in 2 appealing colors- Milky Way Gray, North Star Blue. Design-wise the device is built with a thickness of 9.1mm and the weight is about 199 grams. While holding this handset, it feels smooth in the hands and does not leave fingerprint smudges- thanks to its anti-fingerprint and scratch-resistant property. More on the backside, the body surface is matte and sports a rectangular camera module featuring its rear cameras in a vertical arrangement. At the front, the device sports its selfie camera on a punch-hole cutout. It is also secured with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Performance and Memory
Moving on to the performance side, the device is powered by the SM6115 Snapdragon 662 (11 nm) chipset which is coupled with the Adreno 610 GPU. This is the same chipset used in the 20L variant. The Soc here is capable of handling multitasking loads so that you can work or play longer. It runs on Android 11 which is based on TCL UI. On the memory side, the device is available only in 6GB RAM which comes with a huge 256GB internal storage. In case users need to expand the phone’s storage capacity using an SD card, they can use a SIM slot as it does not have a dedicated SD slot.
Speaking of the camera, TCL has equipped an AI quad-camera setup on this device including a 64MP primary wide camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The camera setting allows you to take powerful shots that are clear and rich in colors both during day and night. It also supports 2X lossless zoom to capture clear pictures at a far distance.
To level up the photography skills, TCL has added different camera features such as face detection, face Beautification, HDR, Google Lens, in-recording snapshots, Light Trace Mode, low-light video, Panorama Mode, Portrait Mode, Pro Mode, Scene Detection 2.0, Slow-Mo Video Mode, Stop-Motion Video Mode, Super Macro Mode, Wide-Angle Mode, Super Night Mode, etc. It features a 16MP selfie camera at the front for taking detailed selfies. For video recording, the rear cameras record 4K video and the front camera records 1080p video up to 60fps.
Battery and Extras
TCL 20L+ is fueled with a massive 5000 mAh battery which you can rely on for hours. It also comes with a USB Type-C port that supports 18W fast charging. Other features include Floating Window Mode, dual speaker, reverse charging, dual-band wifi, A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, instant side fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, etc.
