South Korean Brand Samsung has unveiled another F-series smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy F22. It has been launched in India and we expect to see its entry in Nepal pretty soon. The company has decided to relaunch the Galaxy A22 under a new moniker with a slightly few changes in design and specs. So, let us glance at the specs, features, availability, and expected price in Nepal of the Samsung Galaxy F22.
Samsung Galaxy F22 Overview
Display and Design
Starting off with the display, the device flaunts a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. However, the resolution is scaled down to 720 x 1600 pixels only. The device can shine up to 600 nits brightness. The new Galaxy F22 packs an 83.5% screen-to-body ratio and 274 PPI density. Additionally, the smartphone has an Infinity-U notch which looks a little dated for 2021.
Galaxy F22 differs from the Galaxy A22 only by the design on the rear panel. Here, the back features a wavy design unlike the plain back rear panel in the Galaxy A22. The camera module and flashlight stay the same as previous. Also, the fingerprint reader stays at the side of the phone.
Performance and Memory
As expected, the Samsung Galaxy F22 is driven by a MediaTek Helio G80 4G processor. This is the same processor powering the Galaxy A22 4G, M32, A32 4G. The device comes with Android 11-based One UI Core 3.1. Samsung Nepal has also given a guarantee of 2 years of Android upgrades and 4 years of security updates.
Users can select from 2 RAM variant choices for the Galaxy F22: 4GB and 6GB RAM. The first model ships with 64GB of secondary storage, the latter option ships with 128GB of onboard storage. You can also expand the internal storage available through an SD card if needed.
The smartphone comes with a rear panel housing a square-shaped quad-camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. Upfront, there is a 13MP front shooter embedded in an Infinity-U notch. Both the front and rear camera can record 1080p video at 30fps video recording.
Battery and Extras
Compared to the 5000mAh battery fueling the Galaxy A22, the new device comes with a massive 6000mAh with a 25W fast charge battery. It ships along with a 15W charger inside the box. Other highlight includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C 2.0 port, etc.
