Realme X7 Pro Ultra Overview
Realme launched Realme X7 Pro Ultra quietly and without any prior notice in China. The company launched the previous version of Realme X7 pro in September last year. This can also be called an extreme edition, it all depends on what you translate from the Chinese version. Let’s see the specifications and how will it stand in the market.
Display and Design
Firstly, you will be noticing the design of the phone. There are two color options; Aurora and Black. Aurora color variant has a beautiful glossy gradient finish whereas the black version has a simple black gradient finish with a big company tagline ‘DARE TO LEAP‘ printed on the back of the phone just below the camera compartment.
The display this time is disappointing that the previous generation Realme X7 Pro that had a Super AMOLED 120Hz screen. This time around the company has provided with Super AMOLED 90Hz display, a small downgrade from the previous one. It has a 6.55-inch display with an FHD resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Also, it is protected by the mighty Corning Gorilla Glass 5 in the front with a hole-punch display in the left corner.
Performance and Memory
One of the most concerning things about smartphones is the performance. The Realme X7 Pro Ultra is powered by Mediatek Dimensity 1000+ processor with 7nm technology and supported by Mali-G77 MC9 graphics. It is one of the budgets and better performance processors developed by Mediatek. The plus point is that it has a liquid cooling heat sink and also it does support 5G. Accordingly, it has two storage configurations – the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant that can power your device faster. Another sacrifice of this phone is that it does not support memory expansion. Realme X7 Pro Ultra runs on Android 11 with the better optimized Realme UI 2.0 on top.
Talking about the camera it is the same as Realme X7 Pro, the only change is the new phone has a triple camera setup and the previous one has a quad-camera setup. On the back, Realme X7 pro-Ultra contains a 64MP wide lens, 8MP ultrawide lens, and 2MP depth sensor. Similarly, the selfie camera has a 32MP wide lens on the punch hole of the front display that has great detail while taking the photo. Just like the previous generation phone this time also it supports video up to 4K quality in 60 fps, whereas the front camera can shoot up to 1080p at 30fps that may not be ideal for Vloggers.
Battery and Extras
On the inside, Realme X7 Pro Ultra is juiced by a decent 4500mAh non-removable battery. It supports Fast Charging up to 65W that can fully charge your phone in just 35 minutes as advertised. The downgrade on this phone is it does not have wireless charging support which almost every phone in this price range has nowadays. Just like not including a storage expansion slot, the company also completely removed the 3.5mm jack from the phone but we are lucky that at least it supports NFC. For security, you have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as well as the face unlock option.
