Realme 8 Pro is already launched in India and it may soon arrive in the Nepalese market. It is the first smartphone from Realme that is equipped with a 108MP camera. It is an upgrade over the Realme 7 Pro which was launched in 2020. Let us find out the specs, features, price, and availability of Realme 8 Pro in Nepal.
Realme 8 Pro Overview
Display and Design
Here the display is a 6.4 inches Super AMOLED panel that has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It comes with a refresh rate of 60Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz which can be a little unimpressive as the phones these days come with a refresh rate of at least 90Hz. Sadly it does not come with a protection glass in the front and back. It has an Always-on-display(AOD) feature enabled by default and Realme has not provided any option to turn it off even if users want to.
Realme 8 Pro is built with polycarbonate: a plastic body at the back, glass at the front, and plastic frame. Like most smartphones, the phone has a rear camera set-up at the top left corner in a perfect square module. The camera module also sports a LED flash placed just below the camera array. It features the “Dare to Leap” slogan on the back that glows beautifully in the dark. On the front side, the device flaunts its selfie shooter left aligned on a circular notch. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Performance and Memory
Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset which is packed with an Adreno 618 GPU. We can see there is no upgrade in the processor as the predecessor of 8 Pro was shipped with the same processor. Speaking of the software Realme 8 Pro runs on Android 11 that is based on Realme UI 2.0 out-of-the-box. Moving on to the memory, the user gets two RAM options on this device: 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM configuration. However, the internal storage of 128GB remains the same in both variants. The phone’s storage can be expanded by using a micro SD card if necessary.
Now moving on to the most highlight feature of this phone which is its 108MP AI Ultra Quad camera. Other rear cameras include an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. Realme has worked well to boost its camera’s performance by adding a new In sensor zoom technology providing us a 3x lossless zoom. The camera set-up also provides other features such as Starry Mode, Tilt-Shift, Dynamic Bokeh, Panorama, Super Nightscape, Neon Portrait, Ultra 108MP mode, Chroma Boost, and more. Here you can get a 16MP front camera that clicks decent selfies. For video recording, the device support 4k video at 30fps and 1080p video up to 480fps. Likewise, the selfie shooter supports 1080p video up to 120fps.
Battery and Extras
Also, the 4500mAh battery stays the same in Realme 8 Pro as in its predecessor, Realme 7 Pro. However, you will get a 50W fast charging that will charge your device 50% in just 17 min and 100% in 47 min. It supports a USB Type-C 2.0 port. Realme has provided 4 different color options in this device- Infinite Blue, Infinite Black, Punk Black, Illuminating Yellow. Other feature includes dual-band wifi, NFC, in-display fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, etc.
