Display and Design

Like Rog Phone 5 Pro, the Ultimate version also comes with a bigger 6.78 inches AMOLED panel that has a resolution of 1080 x 2448 pixels. The refresh rate of 144 Hz is also higher with an imposing aspect ratio of 20:9. Also, the touch sampling rate of up to 300Hz will take your gaming experience to the next height. It provides stunning visuals with world-beating color accuracy, and the new always-on HDR technology that improves non-HDR visuals is really impressive. The device is protected by a Corning Gorilla Victus. The  DC dimming technology will avoid your eyes from straining even on heavy gaming for hours. 

On the design side, we can see the phone has not gone through many upgrades. Like its predecessor, the triple camera stands out in a horizontally extended camera module. It has got an appealing design that looks equally powerful and a perfect grip to hold it tighter. The Republic of Gamers logo is perfectly smashed at the back. The LED flash is placed just next to the camera module. There is a tiny circular notch right-aligned at the top where it accommodates its selfie shooter. The phone will ship with Rog UI that is based on Android 11. 

On the memory side, Asus Rog Phone 5 Ultimate is available in a single RAM variant: 18GB RAM with 512GB internal storage. The device does not support a card slot, so expanding the phone’s storage capacity is not possible.

Camera

As far as the cameras are concerned on this phone, it flaunts a triple camera array at the back where you get a 64MP primary wide camera, a 13MP ultrawide camera, and a last 5MP macro camera. The rear camera setup will help you capture your best moments with friends and family. For capturing selfies and making video calls, there is a 24MP front shooter available. It also supports a  good-quality video recording where it can record 8K video at 30fps, 4k video up to 120fps, and 1080p video up to 240fps, and 720p video at 480fps.
