Design and Display

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 has a thin sleek modern design that looks simple and beautiful on the eyes. It has a Microsoft logo on the centre of the panel that actually looks good. The Laptop has a medium 13.5-inch and 15 inch Touch Screen PixelSense display with an FHD resolution of 2256 x 1504 and 2496 x 1664 respectively. It goes up to 300 nits of brightness which does not seem to be impressive. The bezels are relatively bigger than its competitors and one great thing is it supports surface pen which enables to be more creative.

Surface Laptop 4 has two color variants and two metal variants available – Ice Blue Alcantara, Platinum, Matte Black, Sandstone Metal. Having a metal, it really feels more premium and luxurious. It has a normal flat Keyboard without a num pad and a mouse tracker in the bottom middle of the keyboard. Also, the laptop comes with an 720p HD camera with an IR function that supports Windows Hello. It weighs 1.28kg which is light.

Performance and Memory

The only down part of this laptop is that the configurations can be done only for Ryzen Surface Laptops.

Battery and Connectivity

In the battery compartment, the Surface Laptop 4 is powered by a Lithium-Ion 4-Cell 47.4Whr battery. As per the company the battery can last up to 17 hours but after testing by some youtubers it only gave almost 15 hour of backup. Anyway it is not a bad battery backup and can go head to head with M1 Macbook. In terms of connectivity, the model is certified by Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.

Surprisingly, the audio system of Surface Laptop 4 is good as it has Omnisonic Speakers with Dolby Atmos. The laptop contains one 3.5mm audio jack, one USB-C port, one USB-A port, and a surface connect port to charge the laptop.

There are different variants available for Surface Laptop 4 that have both Intel and AMD series processors. The starting price of Surface Laptop 4 is $999 (expected NPR 1,25,000) and can go up to $2,299.99 (expected 2,80,000).
