Till now I think most of you already know about the Nepali laptop company, Ripple Device. They are the first OEM company in Nepal which sells laptop at competitive price with good specs which is why Ripple laptops have generated quite a buzz in Nepal. And in the price of NRs. 1,75,000 they have launched Ripple Artifact Pro Gaming laptop with a better spec and RTX 2060 than most of what competitors are providing.

Ripple Artifact Pro Overview:

Design and Display

The Ripple company has made their Artifact Pro laptop design exactly like Artifact so we won’t even bother talking about the design. But looking at the chassis they have done a great job on ventilating the system all around. The Ripple Artifact Pro flaunts a big 15.6-inch FHD IPS Display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a 144Hz or 244Hz refresh rate option. Also, the bezels and the frame in this laptop are pretty thin but the lower bezel looks thick. The laptop weighs 1.9kg which is average for the price and the performance we are getting.

Right now there is no color variant being sold except the basic default black color. There is not much detail on which keyboard they are using but yes, the keyboard has a backlight and also RGB lightings. It is a full-size keyboard so there are also number keys on the right side. There is a standard touchpad with clicky buttons but the placement seems pretty off and may feel uncomfortable to type because of the touchpad getting on your way as there is small spacing on the left side. But in this specific variant, it seems to have some space

This is a Gaming laptop so performance in this laptop is crucial. Here we can see Ripple doing differently. As they are the OEM company that just designs, choose specifications, and don’t have to manufacture, they spend their time researching markets and users which makes them the new competitor. Ripple Artifact Pro is infused with the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H processor and paired with the GeForce GTX 2060 or RTX 3060 Max-P graphics card with 6GB DDR6 VRAM giving it the power to do heavy tasks in its max performance. A quick note: as the GPU is a Max-P version which means it will give you max performance by taking all the power it needs, so it might run pretty hot while gaming.

The processor has 8 cores and 16 threads also have a base frequency of 2.9GHz but can be boosted up to 4.1GHz. Inside the chassis, it lies the 16GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM that can be upgradeable up to 32GB in the dual-channel. Also, it comes with a 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD that can be upgradeable to up to 1TB storage. But on the official page it claims to be upgradeable to 64GB also on the same page it says 32GB. Maybe the developer of the page may mistype, so we are not sure of that.

Talking about the battery, the Ripple Artifact Pro is powered by a Lithium-Ion 4-Cell 62Whr battery with a 180W power supply. It does include High Definition Audio, Stereo speakers, Microphone with noise-canceling, 1x USB 2.0 Type-A, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1× USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, 2× Mini Display Port 1.4, 1× HDMI 2.0, 1× headphone-out, 1× mic-in, 1× RJ45, 1× card reader.
