Till now I think most of you already know about the Nepali laptop company, Ripple Device. Ripple laptops are sold at competitive prices and also houses insane specs and its great that they are the first OEM company in Nepal. And in the price of NRs. 1,20,000 they have launched Ripple Artifact laptop with a good spec than most of what competitors are providing.
The Ripple company has made their Artifact laptop design very minimalistic all over the body and the chassis. As seen on the images they have been showing on the official site, the back of the body has a matte black finish with a big Ripple logo attached in the center. But looking at the chassis they have done a great job on ventilating the system all around. The Ripple Artifact flaunts a big 15.6-inch FHD IPS Display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a 144Hz refresh rate. Also, the bezels and the frame in this laptop are pretty thin. The laptop weighs 2.2kg which is a little heavy if you ask us.
Right now there is no color variant being sold except the basic default black color. There is not much detail on which keyboard they are using but yes, the keyboard has a backlight and also RGB lightings helping you see and type in dark and getting those extra FPS. Just Kidding! It is a full-size keyboard so there are also number keys on the right side. There is a standard touchpad with clicky buttons but the placement seems pretty off and may feel uncomfortable to type because of the touchpad getting on your way as there is small spacing on the left side.
Everyone wants to know about the performance of laptops as it is one of the crucial decision-making factors. And also every new brand cannot accomplish the level of price to performance ratio. Here we can see Ripple doing differently. As they are the OEM company that just designs, choose specifications, and don’t have to manufacture, they spend their time researching markets and users which makes them the new competitor. Ripple Artifact is infused with the Intel Core i5-10300H processor and paired with the GeForce GTX 1650Ti graphics card with 4GB VRAM giving it the power to multitasking, gaming, and superior processing tasks.
The processor has 4 cores and 8 threads also have a base frequency of 2.5GHz but can be boosted up to 4.5GHz. Inside the chassis, it lies the 8GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM that can be upgradeable up to 32GB in the dual-channel. Also, it comes with a 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD that can be upgradeable up to 1TB storage.
Talking about the battery, the Ripple Artifact is powered by a Lithium-Ion 4-Cell 41Whr battery with a 120W power supply. The company has not mentioned detailly about their products about which ports they are using for charging and also other ports that are available in the laptop. But seeing the back of the laptop we can assume they are using a typical circular pin for charging, one HDMI port, and a display port.
The price of Ripple Artifact Price in Nepal is NPR 1,20,000 for Intel i5 10th Generation processor, GTX 1650 Ti Graphics card, 8GB RAM, and 256GB SSD storage variant. The laptop can be only bought from the official website of Ripple and is only available in their store.
