The long wait is over; Redmi finally introduces its first laptop series in India. RedmiBook lineup was first introduced two years back in China. Redmi has launched the Redmibook in two variants: RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook e-Learning Edition. We already covered RedmiBook Pro in our previous post. So, in this post, we will cover the detailed specs, key features, price, and availability of the RedmiBook e-Learning Edition in Nepal.
RedmiBook e-Learning Edition also brings a 15.6-inch panel with an HD webcam embedded to its top bezel. It comes with thicker bezels surrounding the display, especially the bottom chin. The device is fully equipped to perfectly assist you in learning, streaming, and playing with the Full HD ( 1920 x 1080) panel. RedmiBook series is launched as the successor to the Mi Notebook 14 series that was hugely successful.
The machine comes with a 60 Hz refresh rate. Like in the Pro version, the trackpad here supports multiple gestures, and also the keyboard here features a key travel distance of 1.5mm. It is 19.9mm thick and measures around 1.8kg in terms of weight. This model also ships with a charcoal grey polycarbonate body and a sleek brushed metallic finish.
The RedmiBook lineup packs the TigerLake processor. RedmiBook e-Learning Edition features the latest Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor. Here, the CPU features 2 cores/4 threads and boasts a max clock speed of up to 4.1GHz.
In terms of memory, there are two models of the e-Learning Edition laptop. Both pack 8GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200 MHz. The base model is teamed with 256GB of SATA SSD whereas the higher-end model has a 512GB of NVMe SSD storage.
Moving on, Redmi has equipped a 46WHr cell to fuel the machine. The battery can go up to 10 hours which is satisfactory at this price range. Users can refill the charge to 50% in just 33 minutes using the 65W adapter. Moving on, RedmiBook e-Learning Edition features dual speakers that support DTS Audio. For wireless connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. Ports here include the same option as in the Pro model (two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, one Gigabit Ethernet, an SD card reader, and a 3.5mm audio combo jack ).
Redmi is yet to launch the RedmiBook series in Nepal. In case it does, the price of the RedmiBook e-Learning Edition is expected to start from NPR 71,999 (~INR 41,999) for the core i3-1115G4, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD. Likewise, the 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD might cost you NPR 76,999 (~INR 44,999). This laptop might be available in the authorized Xiaomi shops.
